Preparing For Your Wax:
How to prepare for skin waxing is important to ensure that you get the best results. If you have any concerns about our recommendations for how to prepare for skin waxing, let’s talk. Call or We can work with you about your individual situation.
First, your hair should be at least two weeks of hair growth or longer. We know this can be annoying but longer hair allows the wax to grip around the hair. The longer, the better. If you feel your hair is too long, do not trim it, we will trim it for you.
Let us know: Please inform the front desk staff if you ever begin to experience any hormonal changes such as pregnancy and/or you begin taking any medications such as antibiotics, Accutane or topical creams such as Retin-A, which may NOT be compatible with waxing. You need to wait at least 7 days after you stop taking antibiotics before you can get waxed.
Do NOT tan the area you plan to wax 24–48 hours before your service.
Do NOT consume alcohol or a significant amount of caffeine before your service. This causes your wax to be very uncomfortable.
Exfoliate! To get the smoothest wax possible, you need to remove any dead skin that could possibly be trapping the hairs from coming out. Scrub away the dead skin, and lift those hairs, so they can be removed swiftly, and from the root.
With the right preparation your experience and results will be what you hoped for.
